      Homework (Option 2)

Mr.twit’s outlook is disgusting because he is hairy and dirty but sneaky for doing some nasty tricks to Mrs.twit. When he eats he is super dirty because all the food is stuck in his hair. Sometimes he lies to Mrs.twit for stretching from shrinking but actually the walking skick gets longer. Mr.twit actually doesn’t like Mrs. twit because he celebrates after Mrs.twit floats away with the balloons.

        Great work, Arthur!

You have written an excellent summary of the first half. You have included the key plot points and lots of wonderful detail about the Twits.

To improve, you could use some quotes from the text to support your answer.

      Homework (option 2)

Mr. Twit is disgusting because every time he eats, his beard will stick food in it. Mr. Twit is harsh and mean for doing the tricks because he is lying that Ms. Twit is shrinking. The stretch is also a trick. Mr. Twit is also mean for painting the glue on the giant oak tree, for making his gross smelly bird pie, and for making the monkeys go on top of their heads.

        Wonderful work, Chevinson!

This is a really good summary of the first half. You have mentioned lots of important points about the Twits and introduced them very well.

To improve, you could give some examples of the tricks that they play on each other (i.e. the worm spaghetti and the shrinks).

      Homework (option 2)

My favorite part is ‘The Funny Walking-stick’ because it’s the funniest in one paragraph.Mr Twit gradually made his wife’s walking-stick to longer and longer but Mrs twit didn’t notice that at all even the stick was halfway her shoulder. Then Mr twit said “That stick is too long for you but dead wood can’t grow so you are getting shorter”. Mrs twit cried “That’s not true!” “Why?”said Mr twit “You are shrinking women!” In the end Mrs twit think she was shrinking so Mr twit laughed and laughed at his wife, but he didn’t said this is a joke.

I like the part that Mr.twit and Mrs.twit play the nasty trick each other. When Mrs.twit put her glass eye in Mr.twit’s bottle, Mr.twit put a frog on Mrs.twit bed after Mrs.twit put worms on to Mr.twit spaghetti. But Mr.twit put wood in Mrs.twit walking stick and her chair. Mrs.twit are shrinking so Mr.twit let Mrs.twit a stretch with the balloon. But suddenly she slowly float to the sky, Mrs.twit start to bite the balloon and Mrs.twit start to slowly to float all the way down again.

      Georges’s Marvellous Medicine – Homework (option 2)

Grandma is lazy and nasty because she told George some words that are unbelievable.  She said “Caterpillers give you brians.”, and lots of other words like that.  George then made a tricky plan out of nowhere.  George’s medicine was brown after the brown paint but before it was a brilliant blue.  Before all of that George chanted some kind of spell.

      George’s Marvellous Medicine – Lesson 4 – Homework (option 2)

My favorite part is Goodbye Grandma because it is very exciting. It is about the old girl shrinking. In the chapter of Goodbye Grandma, Grandma wants a cup of tea for breakfast.  She wants George to get her breakfast and find George’s little hand holding a cup of brown liquid.  After drinking, she shrinks down.  By then, Grandma is a size of a match-stick and still shrinking fast.  A moment later, she is no bigger than a pumpkin seed.  Then she becomes a small dot.  Now she is totally gone.

      Lesson 4 byArthur

Firstly, George is a young and a very smart  kid. Secondly, George is kind of forgetful because he keeps on forgetting the ingredient in the medicine, at medicine 2 – 4. Thirdly, Goerge and his dad are good teammates so they could save grandma from the roof. Finally, I think the medicine is smelly, sticky, and dirty

This is a very good start to a summary of the first half. You have done a great job of getting across the love that Mr. Hoppy feels for Mrs. Silver.

To improve, you could also mention the other major plot points (i.e. Alfie, Mr. Hoppy’s plan).

      Esio Trot – Lesson 5 – Option 2

Mr. Hoppy has two crushes. One of them is his plants the other is Mrs. Silver. Mrs. Silver likes Alfie a cute turtle, Mrs. Silver builds Alfie a little house that has a chimney. Mr. Hoppy is jealous about Alfie because Mrs. Sliver only likes him. Mrs. Silver wants Alfie to grow bigger so now Mr. Hoppy gives her a letter in turtle language. He says that Mrs. Silver needs to read it in morning, day and night. Then Mrs. Silver asks something. She said “What does this mean?”. Next Mr. Hoppy fetches a piece of paper and pencil and said ‘Tortoises can only understand words that are backwards.”

      Esio Trot – Lesson 6 – Option 2

Mr.  Hoppy was tricking Mrs. Sliver by believing magic. Mr. Hoppy was a shy lonely man. He really want Mrs. Sliver to marry him and he didn’t say that out because it was a crush. He walked slowly to a pet shop and bought some turtles like Alfie the turtle. He weight tortoises and  used the tortoise catch to carry them up and down. After all that work Mrs Silver arrived and she saw Alfie got bigger and was so pleased.Day after day Alfie got bigger and can’t fit through his house. Again Mr. Hoppy fetched a piece of paper and a pen. Then Mr. Hoppy told her the rules about it and told her it is trotoise. After that, Mr. Hoppy said to Mrs. Sliver ‘ Can you marry me’ Mrs. Sliver said “Yes I ‘ll marry you.’

      Matilda – Lesson 7 – Option 2

Matilda was beautiful amazing girl. When she was three years old she started reading newspapers. When she was four she started reading famous books. She also finish all the children books in the library. Matilda had mean parents, they didn’t like Matilda reading books. Matilda’s dad Mr. Wormwood just cared about cars and the Telly. When Matilda was five she went to school. The school teacher was Ms. Honey. Ms. Honey was very kind. It was rather strange though because the headmaster of the school didn’t like children. The Headmaster’s name was Ms. Trunchbull.

This is a very clever idea indeed. You have been incredibly inventive and have taken some wonderful inspiration from the story in your writing. You also clearly get across the smugness of the farmer.
