In 1938, a ship called SS Manala which carried me from England to Africa.

In the SS Manala, there were crazy people and when the war broke out, I flied for the RAF, but I crashed in a desert. So I had to become a writer.

After that, when my friend was brushing his teeth, a deadly snake slivered behind him. Lucky I saw the snake, so I stepped on it and killed it.

      <p style=”text-align: center;”>Kevin-Do You Think The Tempest is a Tragic Play?</p>
In my opinion, The Tempest is neither a tragic play, nor a comedy.

The Tempest may be classified as a comedy due to the fact that Prospero and his daughter Miranda are returning to Milan, and Antonio and Alonso are forgiven and most are happy, including Caliban, who is eventually King of the island, even though Miranda is gone. On the other hand, the Tempest could be classified as a tragedy as Sycorax is already on the run, if not dead, after being chased by Prospero.

Based on the evidence from here, I think that the Tempest is most safely classified as a tragicomedy.

In Julius Caesar, there is a ‘tyrannical’ leader called Julius Caesar, who is a celebrated leader of Rome. A nobleman called Cassius urges his friend Brutus to assassinate Caesar, but he is Caesar’s friend. Eventually, they murder him, and Brutus gives a speech of why Caesar had to die, but Mark Anthony too had a speech, which showed the people that Caesar wasn’t all bad, by talking about Caesar’s will, which states that after he died, every citizen would get 5 pieces of silver. In response, the conspirators’ houses were burnt to the ground, and Brutus and Cassius are driven out of the city. When they are killed, Mark Anthony feels remorse, as Brutus acted for the good of rome, not for power.

My prediction is that Brutus indeed will make a powerful speech that makes the citizens of Rome understand why Caesar had to die, and succeed in his plan. In contrast, after Mark Anthony will stir up a reason not against Brutus, but showing that Caesar isn’t all bad. The Roman citizens may agree and then drive the conspirators out of Rome. I am also guessing that Cassius and Brutus will be killed.

My favorite part of Romeo and Juliet is when Mercutio states that he thought that the Queen of the Fairies had carried him off in his sleep.

I like this section as it puts the story into perspective, as adding a humorous character adds realism into the story, as an absolute contrast to the melancholy atmosphere of this tragedy.

As well as this, if you add humour and comedy to a sorrowful, depressed atmosphere, it will express the contrast even more and make the mood seem even more glum.
