Dear Beth,
Thank you sooo much for the wonderful lesson
really enjoyed it
For our next lesson (on Wednesday) I am unfortunatly not going to make it, there is a school trip going on and I will not be able to come to class. My mom has already informed the teacher in the wechat group, and just came to say this just in case.

dear Beth
lesson1
As the sun began to set, the sky was awash with shades of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over everything in sight. I was walking along the beach, taking in the beautiful view when I saw someone up ahead. They were standing on a rock, looking out towards the sea, their silhouette framed against the stunning backdrop of the sunset.
I quickened my pace, curious about who this person could be. As I got closer, I realised that I could see everything about them except for their face. They were dressed in a long coat that flapped in the breeze, and their hair was tousled and wild.I took another step closer and saw that they were holding something in their hand. It was a small, black box. As I got even closer, I realised that the box was actually a camera.
“Are you taking pictures of the sunset?” I asked. The figure nodded, but still didn’t speak. I felt like I was intruding on a private moment, but I couldn’t just walk away.
I didn’t know what to say, so I just nodded and turned my attention back to the sunset. We stood there in silence for a few more minutes, watching as the sky turned from purple to black and the stars began to twinkle overhead.
I wanted to know who he was and why I couldn’t see him.
“ We shall meet here tomorrow,” he then mumbled something else but I didn’t hear.
I nodded as the figure disappeared in the winds of the night
I woke up, not to the warm shining sun, but to the cold and dreadful moon, my head was aching. I soon realised that the scene with that figure and the sun set was all just my imagination… I slowly got to my feet and looked at the crushing waves. I didn’t know who he was but I felt an unusual intimacy towards this person, like we’ve been friends for a long time…
I didn’t sleep for the rest of the night, thinking of the only words he said to me, and by the time I knew it, I was standing in front of the rock we met yesterday on… He didn’t tell me when or why we were meeting up, so I waited there. Betting he would show up.
I was dozing off due to little sleep given to me, and before I blacked out, I saw the figure approaching… I was excited but my eyes felt like they were sued together and I just couldn’t open them. And by the time i woke up, i was brought back to my hotel room
I groaned as I woke up, feeling disoriented and confused. As my eyes adjusted to the bright light in the hotel room, I realised that I was back in my bed. I tried to remember how I had gotten there, but my mind was foggy and I couldn’t seem to think straight.
I sat up in bed, rubbing my eyes and trying to shake off the grogginess. As I looked around the room, I noticed that my camera was sitting on the nightstand. That’s when it all came flooding back to me.
I looked around the room, he was nowhere to be found, I saw the camera at the corner of my eye and screamed out of excitement. He is real! Without thinking I rushed outside.
I turned around and saw the figure standing just a few feet away from me. This time, their hood was down, and I could finally see his face. He was older than I had initially thought, with wrinkles etched deeply into their skin. But their eyes were bright and alive, and they looked at me with a warmth that made my heart skip a beat.
We talked all day long walking around the beach, time seems to go by faster if you are doing something that you enjoy… He turned to me and said “ I have a gift for you” then handed me his camera “Everything happening now is unreal”
I didn’t understand but before I knew it I was once again woken up, this time to the sun, I felt sad and missed that figure I only met twice, but the camera in my hands reminded me it’s real. I rushed outside but he was nowhere to be found.
Years later, when I look back on that time, I’ll remember the setting sun, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, and the feeling of being on the cusp of something great.

I went into the forest, the shade of the trees fell upon me, and the heat of the day subsided. The forest is filled with the sounds of nature; birds chirping, insects buzzing and leaves rustling. I took a deep breath, inhaling the smell of the earth, greenery, and wildflowers on the path that lay before me.
The forest is my sanctuary, my haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The trees around me were tall and majestic, their trunks and branches reaching skyward, forming a canopy that filtered the sunlight overhead. The leaves rustled in the breeze, casting dappled light on the forest floor below.
I watched a squirrel scurry across the path and up a tree, its fluffy tail quivering in the sun. The forest is alive with movement, the sound of branches snapping underfoot, the rustle of leaves as creatures scurry. I stopped to admire the beautiful scenery around me. The forest floor is a lush green carpet dotted with wildflowers, ferns and moss.
As I continued my walk, I saw a herd of rabbits gnawing on the grass by the side of the road. They were so engrossed in eating that they barely noticed me. I took a moment to look at them, grateful for the opportunity to witness such a peaceful moment in nature.
Summer forests are places of growth and change. The sunlight hitting the trees provides the perfect conditions for them to thrive. The longer the leaves are, the greener they are, casting an emerald green colour on the whole forest. The wildflowers are in full bloom, painting the forest floor in dazzling shades of pink, purple and yellow.
The deeper you go in the forest, the louder the sound of running water becomes. Soon, I came across a small brook babbling over rocks and pebbles. I sat on a nearby boulder and let the cool water soothe my burning skin. The sound of the water was calm and I felt a sense of peace and tranquillity envelop me.
The summer forest is a place of magic and wonder. The sun shines through the trees, casting beams of light that illuminate the forest with a warm golden glow. The birds are the stars of the show, their beautiful songs echoing through the trees. I close my eyes and listen to the symphony around me, grateful for the opportunity to witness the beauty of nature in its purest form.
As I walked deeper into the forest, I noticed a change in the atmosphere. The air was cooler and more humid, and a faint mist hovered over the forest floor. The sound of running water grew louder, and I followed the noise to a small waterfall cascading down from a rocky ledge.
The water sparkled in the sunlight, creating a rainbow of colours that danced on the forest floor. I stood mesmerised by the beauty before me, feeling grateful for the chance to witness such a magnificent sight.
The forest in the summertime is also a place of refuge and solitude. I often come here to escape the chaos of the world and find a moment of peace. The rustling of leaves, the chirping of birds, and the sound of running water create a symphony of sound that calms my mind and soothes my soul.
The sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the forest as the day drew to a close. I watched as the colours of the sky shifted from blue to orange and pink, creating a canvas of colours that seemed almost unreal. The forest in the summertime is a place of beauty and wonder, a place where the natural world comes alive in all its glory.
I took a deep breath and before I knew it I was there, already, standing by the exit of the forest… I took one last look at it and stepped out of the forest. I was scared that if I took another look I would return and enter the forest again. As I step out of the forest and back into the heat of the day, I carry with me a sense of peace and tranquillity that I know will stay with me long after I have left this magical place.
