      <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Top 3 for GCSE writing:</span>

      Giuseppe– He uses sensual descriptions that set the scene well. The piece combines anecdotes whilst containing wider research. He uses excellent vocabulary and sentence structures that are very sophisticated and make for a well developed piece of writing.

      Annie– This piece is stylistically very interesting and characterful. It is exciting to read thoughts that are well illustrated within a thoughtful yet colloquial style and in an interesting structure .

      Benjamin-This essay uses beautiful sentence structures, and sophisticated vocabulary to articulate well considered ideas. The research is well explained and relates to the essay title well creating a vivid and well rounded piece.

       

      <span style=”text-decoration: underline;”>Top 3 for primary level:</span>

      Ed Shen– The writing immediately draws the reader in by a very creative and evocative opening. Throughout, great alternative viewpoints were proposed whilst sophisticatedly inserting research into his writing. A very imaginative approach to answering the question!

      Jessie– A very impressive piece of writing that uses good real life examples and is clearly well researched. The information gathered is appropriately inserted in to her piece and used to back up the rest of her thoughtful and considered writing.

      Bella– Throughout the piece she employs excellent sentence structure and great vocabulary. She communicates her position well and makes her stance very clear, adding a persuasive tone.

      Top 3 for GCSE writing:

      Emily: The points discussed are thoughtful and well considered and each idea is really well developed, offering the reader well rounded in-depth opinions. Great techniques are used such as list of three, rhetorical questions and varied interesting sentence structure as well as sophisticated vocabulary.

      Aidan: This is an incredibly sophisticated piece of writing that includes well considered points that are thoroughly developed and articulated in advanced sentence structure and vocabulary. A very impressive piece of writing !

      Olivia L: This essay was a fantastic piece of writing that is well structured, and thoughtfully articulated. The points that you cover are very thoughtful and well considered. I particularly enjoyed the opening of the introduction and the zooming in on particular elements throughout, it was very engaging. Furthermore, the vocabulary and sentence structure is incredibly sophisticated.

       

      Top 3 for primary level:

      Ivy: This is a fantastic argument on reality TV. Ivy covers a lot of bases when exploring the subject. The writing comes across well informed and observant through detailed arguments that are situated in complex clauses and sentence structures whilst using advanced vocabulary. The opening was particularly engaging and unique, I really got an experiential understanding of your concept from the get go!

      Jessie: I loved reading this piece and got a real sense of you as a writer. It feels very observant and thoughtful which you have accomplished through an anecdotal narrative which is eloquently expressed. You have also used good engaging techniques such as direct address and rhetorical questions to further inspire interest within the reader, well done !

      Elsa: Such a wonderful piece of writing! You use great imagery, particularly at the beginning of the piece. Brilliant descriptive techniques such as similes and metaphors to illustrate well thought out points. Very impressive !
