Carl (AZG) played their Flaw card “Worried” and wrote:

Oh no! I think I lost one of my crewmates in The Whelming Gulf. I don’t know where she is. The person we are missing is Captain J. West, my protector, and Captain of the ship. I need her to do her job and help me. What if we encounter more pirates? Who will protect me? What if there is a tsunami? Who will get a tarp and cover it over me? The last time I checked, the Captain can’t swim. What if she drowns? We have no choice. The captain needs us now! Oh no! I see an iceberg ahead of us. HELP!

Carl (AZG) drew the Strength card “Responsible.”

Captain J. West (Happy) played their Strength card “Confident” and wrote:

Meanwhile, when Carl noticed that Captain J. West was gone, West had floated to the shore. There she laid for approximately an hour. “Blimey!” she said when she was waking up. “Where the heck am I and where is my cutlass? Am I where I’m supposed to be? “ She took out her map and compass and looked. “Ahhhh, The Whelming Gulf. The last time I looked, our ship was here somewhere. And so, right in the distance was their ship, the Black Pearl. It was heading toward an iceberg. “Arrrrrr! We need to turn the ship before it crashes! The Black Pearl needs to find a safe harbor. If it crashes, I’m responsible!”

Captain J. West (Happy) drew the Flaw card “Overconfident.”

Agatha (EZG) played their Flaw card “Secretive” and the scene’s Setback card, “A crew member has disappeared!,” and wrote:

Pirates are running all over their ship with their arms flailing helplessly above their heads. “Shiver me timbers, we’re gonna run into that iceberg! We’re all gonna die!” someone shrieked.”What are going to do?” asked another. “It’s hopeless!” a third pirate yelled. The pirates doctor, Agatha, was busy curing a wounded pirate to even notice all the chaos. Agatha was quite tired, for she did not get enough sleep last night. As Agatha let the wounded pirate lay in bed, she decided to take a look at the sea they were sailing on, which was the Whelming Gulf. Agatha open the door, and outside, pirates are crazily running about! Someone screamed,”We are gonna run into an iceberg!”Another shouted,” Captain J. West is gone too! Where could she be?” Agatha was shocked! But she was even more shocked when she found out something else too. They were missing Captain J. West’s parrot, Swoop! Without him, they would not be able to find hidden treasure! Plus, he was the most clever one they had. But where could he be? Now, they are in the middle of so many troubles! What could happen to the pirates next?

  • Place card: “Retreat of the Tempest”
  • Challenge card: “Stormy Seas”
  • Success card: “You find an important clue”
  • Setback card: “Your ship is damaged”

Captain J. West (Happy) played their Flaw card “Arrogant” and wrote:

As Agatha was curing the wounded on The Black Pearl, a lot of pirates noticed that Captain J. West and her parrot was gone too. Her parrot wasn’t just any parrot, this parrot was trained to find good treasure on the land and under the seas. Without Swoop (the parrot) they will not find any treasure. Swoop was also the smartest.

Meanwhile, Captain J. West was busy thinking of a good way to stop the ship from crashing on the iceberg, Coco flew to West. “Oh, Mr. Coco why are you here? How are the others? Send this letter I wrote to Carl the Navigator so he will turn the ship to the north. This will make the ship turn around and not cause it to crash.”

This is what the letter said:
“Ahoy Matey, how are you and the others doing? I have sent this letter to you so you can turn the ship around heading toward the Retreat of the Tempest. Please make sure that the ship won’t crash onto the iceberg. From, J. West”

“Now Coco, will you please send this to Carl and come back, thank you.”
A few minutes later, Coco came back and Captain J. West followed the parrot to the ship. They got a tiny boat and sailed back to the ship. Carl turned the ship to a safe harbor just before it crashed. “Yay!” all the pirates yelled in triumph. As Captain J. West sailed across the Retreat of the Tempest, they approach very stormy seas…

Captain J. West (Happy) drew the Flaw card “Nervous.”

Captain J. West (Happy) drew the Strength card “Experienced.”

Carl (AZG) wrote a Flashback, playing their Bond card “Coworker”:

Carl, Agatha’s coworker, had been very great friends with Agatha since they were young pirates. At that time, Agatha had not been chosen as the Black Pearl’s doctor, but she had been the navigator’s helper.(Carl was still the navigator) She would help with finding the buried treasure under the sea. How? Well, she would first bend over the ship’s edge to look at the sea below. Finding trails of gold would mean that a buried chest is near. Also, if you find shiny things under the sea, that would mean another buried chest is ahead. But there wasn’t a job such as the navigator’s helper, and so Agatha was basically just a regular pirate. After a couple of months, everybody learned that their doctor died. Agatha really wanted a real job, so captain(Captain J. West)assigned her as doctor. Agatha was actually really good at her new job, and was able to learn all the basics to being a doctor within a week. Carl was a little sad that Agatha was now a doctor instead of his helper, but was also proud of her for earning a new job.

Agatha (EZG) drew the Strength card “Inspiring.”

Carl (AZG) drew the Bond card “Protector.”
