Lying on her bed, Sophie stared blankly at the ceiling. Her head was still crammed with random thoughts that filled every gap of memory. But no matter how hard she tried, her mind whirring continuously, suddenly jolted, then her guts churned forcefully for this was the withering hours- when all the murderous evil spirits that cause mischief come out. All of a sudden, she made for the window. she just couldn’t resist herself, peered out like an eagle stalking its prey. His eyes wept across the road and paused at a figure as tall as a giraffe, possibly even taller. Sophie jumped backwards in fright onto her bed. What was the creature? What is it doing? Is it dangerous? A myriad of questions swarmed through her head. She cowered beneath the duvet, slightly trembling, waiting for the monster to come. danger awaits Sophie.

After capturing the leader Giant, the horrible people were sent into the humungous prison, Sophie and the BFG were living in a beatific home in Buckingham Palace village which was rewarded by the majesty. As time passed, Sophie was feeling so lonely that she really missed her friends who grew up together with her in the old orphanage. Sensitively, the BFG observed that Sophie was a bit miserable and he made up his mind he was going there with her to see the friends.
Getting there was easy for the giant as he was a giant! If he sprinted, he could gallop over 70 miles like an arrow shooting across from the arch. He strode over the summit of the mountains, over the bosks of the woods, and over the fields of crops. After a splitting second, the huge creature arrived at the orphanage. The towering building had overgrown weeds surrounding the ancient house which was crumbled and gloomy, just like the time the BFG was blowing a lovely dream into one of the Goochey’s room. At that moment, a little boy revealed himself step by step from a shabby curtain. Sophie flashed back through her memories and noticed that he was Johnathan, one of her old orphan friends! How did he become as scrawny as a fowl? Cleverly, Sophie knew that Johnathan was worn out and hardly had any food.
“Brother, I’m starving, I want some…”sighed an emaciated girl who was named Grace, Johnathan’s little sister. Two streams of snout were running from her shrunken nostrils with several flies sucking the liquid. Subsequently, the other orphans piled up inside the room. There were, Jackie, Lilly, Bea and Eva…
Tears swam across Sophie’s cheeks and she started to sob. Meanwhile, she was determined to invite them to her new home.

Mrs Clonkers slowly pushed the door open. Sophie, without wavering, stepped in and her face fell a moment later. The others scrambled in and, too, their faces fell with disappointment. Beyond them, lay a narrow dank passage that leads to a dilapidated door. But Mrs Clonkers, ignoring the bitter disappointment, only grinned broadly and pushed the door open. It creaked on its rusty hinges as the door opened. Mrs Clonkers strode in, leaving the children behind her. Inside, made everyone except Mrs C groan. Mrs C smiled and said, “Oh, you children are so naïve, do you think my house will actually be like this?” Lilly, Eva and Bea cowered together but Johnathan (I will call him J because his name is too long) seeing that Sophie did not answer, retorted, “Where is your real house then, in ‘real’.” Mrs C looked as if she was slapped in the face and the world filled with rude words. “Now, now, now, don’t be so rude,” said Mrs Clonkers and looking at J as if he was something disgusting she found on a lavatory pan. “You soon get my answer.”
Everyone still numb with shock at J’s rudeness trundled beside Mrs C. Suddenly, a grey wolf leapt up and made for the horde. The girls screamed in consternation. Even J backed a few steps. Mrs C very calmly tapped it on the head twice and it stopped mid-jump, and then slunk away in the shadows. Under the wolf, lay a trap door and everyone climbed down. It but still dubious. Suddenly, everyone gasped.
“Wow!” gasped Eva and Bea.
“Amazing” agreed Sophie and Gracie
“Stupendous!” nodded J

Crystal chandeliers dangled from the glistening ceiling which reflected the beaming sunlight onto their little amazed cheeks, actually they completely intoxicated into the splendid environment and atmosphere. Embarrassed by the grumbling, the poor children all clutched their stomachs, trying to stop the rumbling.
Sophie and the BFG welcomed them to the commodious dining room to have a meal. At Sophie’s point of view, the course was ordinary indeed, but for the friends, it was like a marvellous feast of sausages deeply dipped in BBQ sauce with a side of mashed potatoes, roast beef with crunchy Yorkshire pudding, juicy lamb chops with crispy skin in a shiny oil colour, and marinated salmon with lemon and capers together with traditional cream carrot stew. Additionally, there were some broccoli and other tasty vegetables. For the drinks, they had a spoiled choice, there were Fanta, Coke and Sprite,“What would you like to choose?”Sophie noticed something. None of them had replied a single word since they started gulping. That meant that her old mates were extremely starved out by Mrs Clonkers. The poor children were like lions gobbling up its dead prey. (It could be alive, but Sophie thought the prey was definitely dead). Bea was digging in and she had her head in the bowl and it looked so gross that nobody could see her overloaded face. Eva was worse than worse. Food was all over her chair and she used her hands to pick the scrumptious food. Johnathan was off the scale! Sophie stared in disgust as he hefted an enormous shallow pot of slimy onion soup and his tummy rounded like a bump on the head when you’ve hurt yourself, then came a belch.
After filling themselves up, Sophie decided to lead the guys to their bedrooms, where they would be sleeping in. Each room was tiny, but it was cosy, comfortable and the carpet was as soft as animal’s fur. None of them bothered to swap clothes, had a bath or brush their teeth, yet they were totally full and drowsy, diving the head into the quilt, afterwards running the snores.
The next day started with a piercing scream from Sophie when she couldn’t find her favourite scarlet T-shirt, annular watch, and her precious bowknot… All day long, Sophie’s friends were always a bit suspicious and a lot of time, they were trying to get private chats with the other orphans…

Soon, Sophie discovered that her friends were taking her most treasured, enthralling possessions. She attempted many times to persuade them but their responses were arrogant and selfish. She knew that many of them had no notion of the wonderous building and places there was in the world. She knew that all of her naive friends found all of the grand, ostentatious things in the house extremely intriguing. Everyday, she would ponder on how to prevent her friends from stealing her loved possessions. Finally, one day, she found a solution. She planned to giver her friends a tour of the house and Buckingham palace. That way, they would see all the grand places and appreciate the marvellous places together, instead of alone.
when Lilly, Bear, Eva, Gracie and Jonathan heard of her plan, they screamed with glee. “My desire was to travel the world to see the amazing places and I am doing it!” declared Jonathan ecstatically. I always wanted to see Buckingham Palace!” cried Lilly as happy tears slid down her cheeks. Breakfast became as noisy as hundreds of bands playing together, as the ophars commented on their ambitious and thanked Sophie continuously. Later, Sophie clumsily fumbled in the humongous wardrobe of clothes in search of suitable clothes for the friends to wear. Then, they had an hour long session, adorning the clothes with ribbons and living the edges with gems. As the glistening sun beamed onto the sparking chandeliers, the set off. Buckingham palace was only a few miles away and with the help of the BFG who could run 100 miles every second at top speed, reachhed there in no more than 5 seconds, while silting in his ear. the orphans stopped and stared, transfixed at the majestic palace. There were several murmurs with “Wow!”, “Wonderful!” and “Oh my!” but unfortunately Sophie’s friends didn’t know about the BFG’s sensitive ears so the BFG screeched in agony, having heard their murmurs 100 times louder. “Didn’t Sophie tell you about my ears?” he inquired gruffly. The orphans shook their heads. “Sorry,” Sophies said apologetically. The BFG’s deafening shouts had attracted attention from the palace and soldiers were filing out of the door in lines. “This is Buckingham Palace!” announced Sophie importantly. Everyone
was to shocked to hear Sophie. The BFG let out another cry. “Sorry,” whispered Sophie so quietly that she couldn’t hear herself. “That’s better,” boomed the BFG, scratching his ear as everyone clung onto it.
Sophie slid down the BFG’s cloak as if it was a slide, as her dumb-founded friends imitated her but Lilly unsuccessfully slid onto Bea’s head and everyone flipped down like falling dominos toppling over each other. Everyone slowly clambered back upright. Bea was rubbing her head vigorously for Lilly had landed on it. Jonathan and Sophie lay in a patch of overgrown flowers, flattening them. Eva and Gracie had unfortunately tumbled into a bubbling fountain, emerging looking very disgruntled and thoroughly saturated. After they all recovered, Sophie announced again, “This is Buckingham Palace!”

The soldiers, that were guarding the gates, cowered a little at the side of the BFG before remembering that it was friendly. They let the children in the palace, which was followed by continuous mattering of amazement.
Just then, came a small cough, before the Queen appearance. “Good morning, my dear!” exclaimed a jolly voice and all children swivelled around, the girls curtseyed. Jonathon waved for a fraction of a second before bowing. “Thank you, thank you” said the Queen with a smile before Turing to Sophie.
“Hello, Sophie!”
“Hi” Sophie muttered.
“I didn’t hear that, dear”
“Hello, Your Majesty!”
“I know your name, but they are called”
“Lily, Bea, Jonathan, Eva and Gracie” supplied Sophie tonelessly, point to each of them in turn/
“Ah” uttered the Queen. She wondered why the little girl would be here again with friends so she asked: “May I help you in any way?”
“No, you Majesty, we came here to visit Buckingham palace”
The children gazed intently at the Queen, trying to predict what she will say next, but she only smiled and nodded.
“Excuse me, Your Majesty but who built Buckingham place?” asked Gracie shyly and she blushed a little, “Quite a few architects there are “, replied the Queen, “I will name some of them- Edward Blore, Thomas Cubitt, Aston Webb, somebody sniggered at the name the part.”
“Come on then, I will be your guide,” said the Queen.
Someone squealed in excitement. Another person gasped, “We’re ready to go then” nodded the Queen “Follow me!”
And, she trundled along a corridor to a magnificent and highly elaborate door, heavily decorated.

By the hospitable tour from the majesty, Sophie and her friends were guided to the State Room in the palace where there were many precious pieces of royal collection. Sculptures of famous events stood around them looking brave and heroic. Great fresco was displayed everywhere in sight and were put in welly decorated colourful frames. The orphans gasped in astonishment as well as staring on in amazement.
“Wow!” whispered Gracie with delight.
“Cool!” muttered Johnathan.
As quick as the speed of light, half of them were all crawling, climbing and even standing on the statues. The other half, well, were doing all sorts of things to the cherished paintings hanging on the wall. Unlike the others, Eva was admiring all the Porcelain with complicated ornaments designed on the smooth surface. The decorations included concave-convex profile and were mainly the colour of turquoise. PING! CRASH! Unfortunately, when Eva was grazing one of the unique vases, she accidentally pushed so hard that it slammed onto the floor. The 6-year-old girl blushed and went bright red with shame. Suddenly, every single person went chaotic, some staff members helped Eva clean up the mess she had made, some discussed how to do the explaining, and some were panicking and making silly noises. Gradually, the noise level went lower and then, silence. Suddenly, another hubbub came out and this time it sounded like metal smashing against a bit of ground. It was Eva-again! A glistening golden spoon was lying there beside her feet and Sophie remembered that spoon, Eva had the one that was aureate when she was enjoying her meal. Eva was even redder that before. Sophie could tell she was full of embarrassment.
“It is OK, I am sure she did it by an accident. Maybe this young lady knocked it off the table and into her pocket but never noticed,” the Queen smiled gently, “All ready? Then, let’s go!” continued the considerate majesty, and the children followed the leader to the Horse Guards where the Queen’s guards ceremony occurred. At the sight of the soldiers, they dashed up in a crowd, shouting “Photograph! Photo, please!” “Okay, okay!” responded the staff. “Say Cheese!” he uttered, holding up the camera. Sophie noticed something unconsciously. Oh, someone missing! That is–Jonathan! Sophie confirmed out Jonathan was lost, so everyone was worried and tried to figure out where he was. They looked in the State Room if he got left behind which didn’t work. Therefore, they came forward to the Royal Mew to find him if he was going ahead, where holding the resplendent, jade, magnificent carriages that the Queen was carried in.
Snore, snore, snore came a sound out of one of the coaches. “Everyone split up! Go to different ladders and find Jonathan as quick as you can!” Sophie arranged. The people did as they were told. Finally, Gracie found him inside the seats sleeping deeply like a log.
How could my friends do this? Chagrined Sophie.

The others all eagerly dashed to the coach and applied aberrant methods of waking Johnathan (there include poking, shouting, pouring cold water tickling and even clapping). But Sophie pondered a moment before grinning and joining the others. Half an hour later Johnathon woke abruptly, but still crotchety for, the others sloshed cold water all over him.
Next, came visiting the dining room. It was a fairly admirable place and everyone was stunned. It was as big as a football pitch. A vast grand table with a variety of elaborate designs of napkins and cutlery was placed in the middle of the room. The old-fashioned rock-crystal chandelier hung in the centre of the room with gazillions of candles and jewels hanging in it directly opposite it rug was multi-coloured with methodical patterns and swirls. The dining room was so luxurious that the orphans’ attention was hooked and mouths falling open in the wonder.
Then, the queen said with enthusiasm “come on no time to dawdle, let’s move on to my personal bedroom” with a hearty simile. The children’s eyes were transfixed to the objects. Up a couple of winding staircases and a few corridors, came a door with intricate designs. The queen pushed open the door and the children gasped even louder this time, in a corner, sat a four-poster bed with attractive curtains and a warm-looking quilt. Eva, with zealously, jumped on the bed. “No! You will crease the sheets!” Screamed the Queen. Eva hastily jumped off. “This place is Rosh and you need to look after it!” Said Sophie sternly. The people who climbed on the statures lowered her head with shame.
“Just look after it!” instructed Sophie.
“Okay!” mattered the children as one
